Notes

[1] A soldier, François Bacquet, also known as Lamontagne, was in the company of Poitou, sent to New France to battle the Iroquois (1665-1666) and there
remained as a habitant of Québec in 1668-1669 when his company returned to France.

[2] Anne Philippe came to New France in the middle of 1671 as a 'Filles du Roi' and on the 4th of November of that year was promised to François Desbaupins. But
when she met Bacquet, her heart was drawn to him and on the 24th, the couple was wed by priest Thomas Morel in the city of Québec.

[3] Descendant by way François Bacquet and Elisabeth Guénet and their son Pierre and Marguerite Montminy; and their son Simon and Marie Gosselin; and their
son Pierre and Françoise Goulet; and their son Dominique & Rose Gonthier, Marie Bacquet dit Lamontagne married Joseph Goulet. Marie's grandson was Robert
